    • The Reverend George Despard was born in County Meath in 1830, the second son of Captain George Despard. In 1851, he married his first cousin Jane Letitia Despard of Donore in Kirk Michael, Isle of Man. They had two sons and four daughters. He died in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in 1903.
