    • George Despard was the son of Richard Despard and Elizabeth Despard. He was an officer in the 53rd Shropshire Light Infantry. After retiring from the army, he became Head Constable of the Royal Irish Constabulary of County Meath and Resident Magistrate of Rathmolyon, Meath. He passed away in 1846.
